Dianne J. Auger

Vice President, Strategy & Regional Development

Dianne J. Auger joined St. Vincent’s in June, 2012. Prior to joining St. Vincent’s, Auger served as regional chief executive officer with the American Red Cross, Connecticut and Rhode Island and interim regional chief executive officer for the Greater New York Region. There, Dianne managed delivery of service, fundraising, government relations and operations of the largest strategic region in the country, serving 13 million residents.

A Bridgeport native, Dianne was born at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Prior to her 13 years with the American Red Cross, she was director of business development and administration for Ahlbin Centers for Rehabilitation Medicine in Bridgeport, vice president of marketing and development for the Discovery Museum and vice president, market segmentation manager for People’s United Bank in Bridgeport.

After earning her MBA with a concentration in management and marketing from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Dianne would later serve as director of corporate relations and annual giving for the University from 1992-1993. She is currently vice-chairman of the Board of Directors for Sound View Community Media in Bridgeport and is a member of the board of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, where she also serves on the Executive Committee.

With extraordinary success in both for-profit and non-profit endeavors, Dianne has earned much recognition both professionally and personally. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the American Red Cross National Presidential Award for Excellence, the Bridgeport Regional Business Council Susan L. Davis Women’s Leadership Award and the Friends of Leadership Greater Bridgeport Impact Award. She is a graduate of Ascension’s Leadership Academy, and was invited to be a member because of her strong leadership qualities and her reputation as a healthcare thought leader. Dianne lives in Shelton with her husband Joe.
