Our Welcome Center in Westport provides streamlined access to appropriate inpatient behavioral health services for people wishing to safely bypass the emergency department by scheduling a telephone behavioral health assessment appointment.

If you want help for behavioral health concerns , you must schedule a comprehensive, confidential telephone screening with the Welcome Center to see if you’re able to be admitted.

After scheduling an appointment, the Welcome Center team will talk with you about your history and current challenges, then schedule a same-day or next-day in-person appointment for a comprehensive behavioral health assessment with a licensed clinician.
Based on this assessment, our team will work together to offer a psychiatric and medical evaluation and safe transition to care. If after assessment on-site a direct admission is indicated, the admission process will start seamlessly and immediately after the assessment concludes. If the assessment recommendation is for a level of care other than inpatient, resources will be provided and referrals made to the best less-acute level of care.
