Director of Strategy, Planning, Business Development and Communications, HHCMG and Fairfield Region
José holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in health administration (MHA) from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to this role, José served as the Regional Director of Operations for the Digestive Health Institute (DHI) for the Hartford & North West Regions in Connecticut.
Jose also served as director of Business Development and Integration for Digestive Health & Surgery at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHCMG) and is also one of the inaugural co-chairs for the SOMOS Colleague Resource Group, where he collaborates with system leaders to advocate for and advance health equity for colleagues and communities across Connecticut and beyond.
Prior to serving in these roles, José completed an Administrative Fellowship in Operational Excellence with a focus on LEAN daily management at Hartford HealthCare.
