St. Vincent’s executive team members serve as leaders for the entire system in its efforts to provide Healthcare That Works, Healthcare That is Safe, Healthcare That Leaves No One Behind.

In a spirit of collaboration and compassion, the team seeks to make decisions that will support the highest level of care and positively impact patients and families, employees and the community.

Fulfilling the mission of the Medical Center’s patron, St. Vincent de Paul, and carrying on the legacy of leadership of its founders, the Daughters of Charity, the Executive Team commits itself to serving as the compass for the organization, and to supporting the goal of spiritually-centered, holistic care for all persons, especially those who struggle most.


Vincent DiBattista

Senior Vice President, Hartford HealthCare, President, Fairfield Region

Mr. DiBattista has been part of Hartford Healthcare since 2015 and in his current role as Senior Vice President for Hartford HealthCare and President of the Fairfield Region, he is responsible for the operations of St. Vincent’s Medical Center and the expansion of ambulatory and clinical services in the Fairfield County market. Dianne J. Auger

Vice President, Strategy & Regional Development

Dianne J. Auger joined St. Vincent’s in June, 2012. Prior to joining St. Vincent’s, Auger served as regional chief executive officer with the American Red Cross, Connecticut and Rhode Island and interim regional chief executive officer for the Greater New York Region. There, Dianne managed delivery of service, fundraising, government relations and operations of the largest strategic region in the country, serving 13 million residents. Read More >>

 


Dale G. Danowski, RN, MBA

Vice President, Patient Care Services

Ms. Danowski joined St. Vincent’s as a staff nurse in 1981 and has held a number of nursing leadership positions. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of New Haven.

 


Christopher Given

Vice President, Finance

Christopher Given joined St. Vincent’s in 2009 as the director of budget & business intelligence, and most recently served as senior vice president of Finance. Read More >>

 

 


Daniel S. Gottschall, MD

Vice President, Medical Affairs

Dr. Gottschall received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his internship and residency at the University of Connecticut. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Gottschall joined the staff of St. Vincent’s Medical Center in 1997 after serving as chief resident and clinical instructor at the University of Connecticut Health Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Bill Hoey, MAHCM, LCSW

Vice President, Mission Integration

Bill Hoey, MAHCM, LCSW, is responsible for overseeing all mission services and activities for St. Vincent’s Medical Center with continued responsibility for the Pastoral Care Department and the Parish Nurse Program. Hoey helped establish the Hope Dispensary of Greater Bridgeport through his work with the Primary Care Action Group, a collaboration of area health service organizations. Read More >>

 


Brooke Karlsen, MSN, RN

Vice President, Operations

Brooke Karlsen, MSN, RN, joined St. Vincent’s in 2004 as director of surgical services and has had administrative responsibility for numerous areas of our Ministry. She played an integral role in the design and creation of the Robotic Surgery Program and the Hybrid OR and TAVR program.

 


Christopher Willey, MBA, CMPE, RT(N)

Vice President, Operations, Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHCMG)
