Ryan O'ConnellRyan O’Connell, MD, joined Hartford HealthCare in 2023 as the regional medical director of quality for the Fairfield Region. Prior to joining Hartford HealthCare, Ryan held several leadership roles with Yale New Haven Health, including Vice President of the Northeast Medical Group, Interim Chief Medical Officer for Bridgeport Hospital, and as that hospital’s Chief Quality Officer and Chief of Clinical and Quality Informatics.

Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Princeton University, his medical degree from New York University Grossman School of Medicine, and his MBA from the Yale School of Management. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and a National Library of Medicine Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Yale Center for Medical Informatics. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Quinnipiac University’s Netter School of Medicine.

Dr. O’Connell received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed both an internship and his residency in categorical internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. In addition, he completed a National Library of Medicine-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at Yale Center for Medical Informatics. He is currently enrolled in Yale’s executive MBA program.
