Dr. Newfield received his Master’s Degree from Georgetown University and his Medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine. Dr. Newfield did his Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and went on to do an addiction Fellowship at Yale.
Andre joined St. Vincent’s Medical Center in September of 2015 as the Medical Director of Psychiatry. He has proved himself to be an extremely competent physician gaining the respect of his colleagues in Psychiatry, as well as the Medical Staff in general. Andre stepped in only one year after his start of employment with SVMC as the interim Chair of Psychiatry at a very difficult time in Psychiatry for staffing. Andre has alleviated much of the staffing issues in a very short time as well as communicates beautifully with the existing staff and administration.
