Dr. Castillo received his medical degree from the University National Pedro Henriquez Urena, Dominican Republic. He completed an internship at New York Medical College and residency in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Castillo went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at New York Medical College. Dr. Castillo is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is the Director of the Endoscopy Lab at St. Vincent’s. He served as a member-at-large on the Medical Executive Committee from 2005 – 2009 and has been a member of the St. Vincent’s Health Partners Population Health and Finance Committee since 2014. Dr. Castillo has clinical expertise in all areas of Gastroenterology and advanced endoscopic therapies with special interests in endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic resection. Dr. Castillo is a partner in Gastroenterology Associates of Fairfield County.
